Webspiration
26th July 2018
Hello, my name is Jake. I enjoy photography, but I’ve never taken the time to sit down and create a portfolio of my work for the world to see. Well that time has come and I am currently researching web designs to help me create my own. While researching I thought why not write a blog about this process – so here goes. Here is the first instalment of Webspiration. Take the time to sit down and scroll through a few websites that have caught my eye recently. Hope you enjoy.
MOWELLENS
The way this site redefines how we view products and seamlessly transitions from one to another is beautiful.
OLIUR
Oliur uses a minimal theme showing how this travel site could work across desktop and mobile. Both the photography and fonts are a winner for me.
SALO ROMAN
This is an interesting concept by Salo Roman on how to navigate different sections with the use of what I assume would be scrolling and carousels. This combined with cool images and bold text makes for a lasting impression.
NATHAN RILEY
This is a great examples by Nathan Riley, the use of a combination parallax and clipping mask on scroll and if executed correctly can look insane! Take a look at the rest of his dribble for more of the same great work.
THIS.DESIGN
The use of subtle parallax scrolling, space and short paragraphs makes This.Design’s case studies tell a brands story very well.
VEDAD SILJAK
Last but not least – just anything by this dude. His minimal approach ticks all the boxes for me.
