Red Nose Day 2017: Reddy to go…
24th March 2017
It’s that time of year to brush off those red noses to raise money for our chosen charities in hope of making another’s life a little easier. Each year we see 100’s of companies and individuals from all over the UK, create different and creative ways in order to support this momentous charity. From ad campaigns to promote awareness for the cause to presenting individuals charity events and donations, all in the hope to strike a chord with the nation to dig deep and donate. Can’t remember any campaigns? Lets have a quick look at a couple of the red nose tributes in years gone past.
British Airways – The red nose finds its wings
The airline giant, once again are partnering up and donating to the cause, as well as showing their support from the skies, wrapping their plane noses with the infamous red nose. Brilliant tribute to the charity.
Babybel – ‘Say cheese’ campaign
The popular dairy brand played on the comic side to the popular charity event by getting people to say “Cheese” to the camera and get laughing to raise money for the cause. A great comical slant to charity campaigning.
Noses through the ages
As designers, when tasked with a rebrand it’s always interesting to look back at the company’s brand history to see if we can grab inspiration or learn from their mistakes. The iconic red nose has become a famous rebrand every 2 years, so lets have a look at the charity’s run down of noses past.
The 2017 Noses
Here they are, the official red noses of 2017!
We’re reddy!
Here at Bopgun, we love nothing more than giving back to help others and Red Nose Day is yet another great opportunity. The team are ‘reddy’ this Friday all suited and booted in red clothing to support the day, good team effort, as well as giving a donation to the charity each.
Red dot challenge
And to get us truly into the spirit, as creatives, the team couldn’t resist a challenge to mark the occasion with a creative nod to the day. So we broke the red spots out stuck them in the middle of some paper squares and asked everyone to tap into their creativity, tooled with only a pen. Here’s just a few of what they came up with.
Happy Red Nose Day, good luck to the nation and their fundraising!
