Meet our Creative Director and Co-Founder, Jon!

Meet Jon, our Creative Director and Co-Founder at Bopgun Design. With over 20 years of experience, he knows all the tricks of the trade and everything design. He loves creating eye-catching visuals, his favourite style being bold and graphic! In Jon’s spare time, you’ll find him being creative outside, trying to make or build something (like his impressive Halloween mask).
So that you can get to know our creative guy better, we asked him some questions:
What’s your favourite thing about being a Creative Designer?
“I think what I really enjoy about being a designer is being able to meet and work with some fascinating people and brands. That obviously changes over time with new clients and new challenges but in the end, when you sit back and say we did that, we fixed their problem, we found a solution and there it is up in lights then you feel quite good about yourself and the team.”
If you could add one thing to the Bopgun office, what would it be?
“A room to lock me away from all distractions! But, with my photo studio and lots of space to spread out. Together with my Hifi and good music. I think this may be for the benefit of others rather than mine.”
What was your first job?
“I was a Paperboy. 7 days a week in the morning, for £5 a week in sun, wind and rain. Every payday, I would buy a quarter of teddy bear sweets and head home, where my little brother would rush in, and we would just eat the lot. God, I’m a hero.”
Where would you spend all your time if you could?
“There’s only so much time you can spend in one place. So, travelling around the world would be amazing but I would always look forward to heading home. The sad side of me loves being at home with my home studio and workshop designing, building and generally creating.”
If you were an animal, what would you like to be?
“I would like to be a Black Panther, because they’re cool and can roam around freely.”
