Halloween Cake and Pumpkin Competition 2017
2nd November 2017
As creatives we’re always on the look out for the next juicy challenge to get our teeth into. So what better way than a delicious yet ghoulish cake competition?? Following the big success of last year’s MacMillan Coffee morning and the fact we’re fortunate enough to be surrounded by an array of lovely creative agencies on Greenway Farm, we had a no brainer decision and decided to organise a Halloween cake and pumpkin competition to help raise money for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre, and the turnout was spectacular. On Tuesday 31st October at lunch time we gathered in our local pub with our selection of cakes and pumpkins to let the judging commence. Also be sure to Check out last years Macmillan Coffee Morning
Halloween Bake Off
With everything from eyeball cupcakes to brain sponges our judges had a tough decision deciding on our winner. Our Halloween bake off was judged on taste, consistency and visual execution. We had a Bopgun winner with our very own Sam Atchison taking first place with her ‘Skin of your teeth’ cake! Take a look at some of our other amazing entries…

Pumpkin Carving
Meanwhile the Pumpkin carving was also a very close call, with so many great creative entries. We had a lineup of pumpkins of all sizes and designs. These ranged from the classic scary pumpkin face to carnivorous pumpkins and it was hard to choose a winner. But after a tally up of the votes the winner was a joint effort from Jamie Powell / Jordan Pledge.
We had so much fun organising and getting stuck into this spooky event and as you can see nothing went to waste. We soon found plenty of volunteers to help us eat all this cake! A fun day all for such a great cause raising a total £270.40 for charity!!
