Bopgun 2024 Christmas Unwrapped

“Another year over, and a new one just begun,” in the words of John Lennon, Bopgun is signing off for another Chrimbo festive period – but not before we look back at some of this year’s highlights!
We’ve welcomed another member to the group, Kush, our new junior developer! Instead of a month-by-month recap, we asked everyone to share their favourite job of the year, heres the low-down:
Lloyd
The best project for me was Timber boards project. With no off the shelf solution available, we had to think outside the box and build a bespoke solution that allowed Vastern Timber to publish their internal stock data to their website. The live data is dynamically pulled through to the website and styled up to remain consistent with the rest of the website. Instantly resulting in an increase of Sawn Timber orders.
Emily
We first started collaborating with Nactarome in 2021, reconnecting in 2023, and are now proud to serve as Nactarome’s Global Communications Agency. Together, we’ve been supporting the integration of multiple global businesses into their growing group.
Partnering with a dynamic marketing team spread across five European countries, we’ve worked on a variety of exciting initiatives, including brand development, campaign and collateral design, and refreshing their website to align with their corporate marketing strategy.
After recently meeting the team in person in Milan, we’re excited to build on the success we’ve achieved together as we head into 2025!
Caz
This year, we’ve had an abundance of exciting projects with Hachette, working with household names like Peter Rabbit, Disney, Warhammer, and more! My favourite by far was designing the Doctor Who half-scale Dalek website and creating the promotional features video. Using our bespoke built template system, we’ve streamlined the Hachette projects, which gives us scope to create these fun and engaging videos. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the community’s excitement for each new collection.
David
My favourite project this year has undoubtedly been the Storyhouse Egmont Partner Event. From its inception in the summer, we’ve been deeply involved in every aspect—strategising the event’s vision, crafting an engaging user experience, designing its visual identity, and implementing the digital solution. What began as a straightforward presentation last year has transformed into a fully-fledged event with a scalable structure, setting a solid foundation for years to come.
This project perfectly showcases our passion for blending creativity with technical expertise, turning ideas into impactful experiences. It’s been incredibly rewarding to work in close partnership, fostering a collaborative relationship that brings their vision to life. Supporting them in this way not only drives the success of the project but also reinforces our love for creating meaningful and enduring solutions.
Jon
I really enjoyed working on Milverton—they were fantastic collaborators.
We also incorporated AI imagery into the development of the brand guidelines, allowing us to maintain children’s privacy while creating nearly impossible visuals that perfectly capture the brand ethos. For example, a swimmer using their laptop underwater or a ballerina balancing a laptop on her fingertips mid-pirouette. Producing these organically would have been exceptionally expensive, but they’re now accessible to those with the know-how. It’s exciting to embrace these future-forward changes.
Now all that’s left is the work party and soaking up the festive cheer! A big thank-you to all our clients and employees for another wonderful year at Bopgun.
