Our Top 5 Easter Campaigns from the Last 5 years
29th March 2018
As Easter is nearly upon us, we thought we would take a look at some of our favourite campaigns from Easter past. It’s a great time of year for many companies to get out there and grow their brand. From Cadbury’s to Hotel Chocolat these brands have created some egg-cellent campaigns – sorry we couldn’t resist.
Hotel Chocolat: The Beau Bunny 2013 – Present
For the last 5 years Hotel Chocolat ‘Beau Bunny’ gives people chances to win a number of presents. Last year you had to identify where Beau Bunny (and his giant levitating egg) were in a series of photos to win a basket of Easter goodies. Complete with his own bunny twitter page, Hotel Chocolat knows how to utilise social media for a successful campaign. Hotel Chocolat showing us ‘if something ain’t broke, don’t fix it’.
Tesco: Find the Eggs 2013
Back in 2013 Tesco launched their #FindTheEggs campaign, which took users on a virtual easter egg hunt through the streets of the U.K. Thousands of digital eggs were hidden across the streets of Google street view. This engaging campaign got everyone involved with the chance to win prizes. 3 blue eggs won you a MaltEaster chocolate bunny, and if you found an elusive golden egg you won a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2!! Jude Brooks, Head of Social Communities and Insight said
“The Easter egg hunt is a much loved tradition and this year we’re excited to be giving it a digital twist. We hope that people from across the country get online and search for the virtual eggs hidden on their street
Carlsberg: ChocolateBar 2016
For part of the brewers ‘If Carlsberg did’ campaign, they created a new experience – A chocolate bar. And yes that’s exactly what you would imagine it to be, a drinking establishment made entirely out of chocolate. From the dartboard to the bar stools the entire billboard was made out of half a tonne of chocolate! During the event customers could enjoy half a pint of Carlsberg from a special glass made out of.. you guessed it, chocolate.
Co-Op: Good Eggs 2016
One of our favourite Easter campaigns came from the Co-Op, who launched a campaign that inspired people to be ‘Good Eggs’. The brand revealed a series of videos showing real life scenarios, where a member of the public stepped in to help a stranger (really an actor) in need. From someone dropping their wallet to a broken down car. Not forgetting the guy with both arms in cast who just wanted a sandwich! Check out all the heart-warming videos here: #GoodEggs
Cadbury’s: #EggsEverywhere 2016
2016 was the year for brilliantly thought out and executed easter campaigns and Cadbury’s were no exception. As a part of their ‘Bunny’s been busy’ campaign, Cadbury’s constructed a number of giant eggs that the mischievous bunny scattered across the U.K. These giants eggs started a lot of conversation which generated more traffic for Cadbury’s. Claudia Miceli, Senior Brand Manager said
For many years Cadbury has been part of Easter in family homes and this year we wanted to mark the start of Easter season in a joyful and fun way.
